Volunteer with EETHAL Foundation - opportunities for teens and adults
We are looking for both teen and adult volunteers to help make a difference! Most of our programs are virtual and can be done from the comfort of your home with just one hour or less per week.
Teen Volunteers
Are you a teen interested in connecting with your Tamil heritage while serving the community? Join our Young Translators program to translate stories, videos, and educational content from English to Tamil. In our Spoken English program, you will assist the online classes by playing educational games with the Indian students as well as participate in peer-to-peer mentoring programs.
What you’ll do:
- Work in teams to translate fun stories and educational content
- Learn language skills in a practical and fun way
- Earn volunteer hours for school and PVSA awards
- Play games and mentor students in the Spoken English programs
Adult Volunteers
Adults can make a meaningful impact by mentoring teen translators or teaching spoken English to students in rural areas.
What you’ll do:
- Guide and mentor teen volunteers in translation projects
- Teach foundational spoken English online
- Help shape the next generation of bilingual youth
- Only one hour per week! Join from your home
